Back in July 2012, I was miserable in my job at a call center. I mean, really, who ISN'T miserable at a call center? So I decided to quit. I didn't exactly have another job lined up, but I quit anyway.
Fast forward through joblessness, and you reach me scouring Craigslist for a job. Any job. You see, having a Masters degree in Art is nice and all, but it hasn't really yielded the positive results I was hoping. However, that's another story for another time.
I found this ad on Craigslist about teaching abroad. So, of course, I figure it's a scam, but all their asking for is an email address and my name, so I took a chance and applied. (I do not recommend sending any personal info to an unknown source over the internet. Do not do as I do.)
Seven months later, I board a plane headed for Seoul. The trip was long, but at the end of it started a new adventure. I love adventures.
So, for all those reading, this is the start of something spectacular. With this blog I will express what it's like to live and work in South Korea.
